The Station Hotel is appreciated for its excellent location, directly across from the train and bus stations and a shopping center, with Union Street also within a short walk. Many guests find the rooms spacious, some even being upgraded to family rooms, and appreciate amenities like coffee and tea making facilities. The hotel offers a good dining menu, with a bar area, pool table, and games available. While some guests have mentioned the furniture appearing a bit dated, the convenience of being able to leave luggage after check-out is a definite plus.

Acceptable stay overall

powerful shower food selection comfortable bed smoking group dated room tired room
The room had a very powerful shower. A good selection of food was available at breakfast. The provided bed and pillows were comfortable.
I found large groups smoking by the doorway. This caused the smell to enter the hotel. The rooms seemed quite dated and tired.

Convenient and Comfortable Stay

central location lovely staff spacious room comfy bed
The hotel's central location near the bus station was definitely convenient. The staff at reception was really LOVELY. The room was spacious and clean. We requested a room with a bath, and it was super comfy.
I noticed the furniture in the room did not match. I felt that it could benefit from some minor upkeep.

mixed feelings About my stay

stained carpets short cable
The room felt quite dated! The stained carpets were noticeable and detracted from the overall impression. The lack of available sockets in the room was an issue. I had to resort to boiling the kettle on the floor since the cable was too short to reach any outlets.
